Xinran Fan is a New York–based artist and designer exploring memory, identity, and the evolving self. Working across clothing, objects, images, and installation, her practice uses repetition, material experimentation, and subtle shifts in form to examine intimacy, fragments, and transformation.
2026
Begins from private writing, diary fragments, and the quiet act of recording the self. Through traces of text, soft gestures, and intimate silhouettes, the work explores how memory is held, hidden, and slowly revealed. Rather than presenting identity as complete, this chapter approaches the self as something written in fragments — personal, vulnerable, and continuously becoming.
